On Thursday, 5th May, 2016, in the framework of an international art project Interactions initiated by Bel Art Gallery in 2010 in cooperation with the Austrian Embassy in Belgrade, it was opened in Ljubljana in the gallery John Boljka, an exhibition of Austrian artist Stephanie Grünberger (Yas Berg) and artists from Serbia, Marina Popović Vojvodić. Curator of the exhibition is Martina Koja. The exhibition is open until 30th May.
Marina Popović Vojvodić was born in 1976 in Belgrade. Master’s degree in painting at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in 2000 in the class of prof. Milan Blanuša. Interdisciplinary PhD studies at the Department for Theory of Art and Media at the University of Arts in Belgrade (2009). Since 2004 she has worked as an assistant at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. She has participated in numerous art colonies and group and individual exhibitions in the country and abroad. She won the prize for the assemblage – 3rd International exhibition “collage and assemblage”, Memorial of Jovan Marković Kameni.
Stephanie Grünberger (Yas Berg) was born in 1981 in Klagenfurt (Austria). She studied art history at the University of Vienna. She attended classes of dance, drama, music and singing. In 2001 she has participated in the International Summer Art Academy in Salzburg. Graduated from the Department of Theatre, Film and Media Arts at the University of Vienna (2008). She deals with painting, journalism, theater. She has participated in numerous art colonies and exhibitions in Austria. She comes from a Serbian noble family Stratimirović.
